Tabatha Jones, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Tabatha is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with experience in providing mental heath services to clients with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, OCD, eating disorders and trauma.​ She has been in the nursing field since 1997, first working in the Intensive Care Unit setting, and most recently an inpatient psychiatric crisis stabilization and detoxification unit. She opened Daya Mental Health and Wellness in 2018 to help provide medication management services to the recovery community in Asheville. She works to promote a comfortable and safe environment for her clients to promote long term recovery from both mental health issues as well as substance use. She received her undergraduate education at Appalachian State University and her graduate degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Carolina. In her free time she loves to travel and spend time with her family.

Nyoka Dunbar,

 Nyoka is a dual certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner with experience providing services to all age groups. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, she began her nursing career as a medical-surgical nurse, soon advancing to float pool and travel nursing. After developing a desire to impact access to quality health care, she received her master’s degree in family practice from Winston Salem State University. While working full-time delivering care in client homes, she pursued and received her post master’s degree in psychiatry from the University of Cincinnati.  She is currently board certified in North Carolina. She treats all age groups for all mental healthcare needs with a caring and compassionate approach. Improving and maintaining balance for optimal health for her clients is her primary focus. She was born and raised in SC and enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and watching The Golden Girls in her free time.

Jason Jones,

Jason is a licensed clinical addiction specialist and has his masters level degree in social work from East Tennessee State University.  He attended Western Carolina University for his undergrad work. He has worked with clients with substance abuse and co occurring disorders at places such as October Road’s men’s program and Pavillion Addiction Treatment Center. He is also currently providing supervision for people that are interested in obtaining their CADC in North Carolina. He sees patients that are suffering from addiction issues and trauma. He also works well with clients with a variety of mood disorders.  In his spare time he loves to fish, ride his Harley and cheer on his favorite team-the Patriots!

Patrice Wishon, LCSW, LCAS, CCS

Patrice received her Master’s in Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1993.  She began her counseling career working with pregnant and post-partum women struggling with addiction, followed by her work with adults involved in the criminal justice system.  In addition, she has worked in a residential treatment program and with clients experiencing homelessness.  Patrice is passionate about serving the needs of those in recovery or struggling with addiction, people dealing with the effects of trauma, and those looking for support in managing intense emotions and mental health issues.  Patrice is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) in the state of NC.  Her approach is strengths-based and warm but direct.  She is trained in EMDR  and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and provides services with non-judgement and respect.  Patrice was born and raised in the mountains of western NC and enjoys gardening, swimming and baking in her free time.

Lauren Myers

Lauren works with young adult female/ non binary clients that are struggling with identity and showing up in a way that aligns with their values and internal processing. She works with clients that are struggling with substance use concerns or currently in recovery, depression, anxiety, trauma, body image concerns and eating disorders. Lauren will begin seeing clients in January 2022. Full profile coming soon!


She is currently accepting Aetna and cash pay. Some sliding scale appointments available
