ABOUT ME....

I have been procrastinating writing this bio about myself for way too long and maybe some of you reading this can relate to that feeling. I can be a pretty type-A personality but thrive by winging it at times, so I hope this lands with the right individuals! I have been in the mental health field for over 7 years - blah, blah, blah; credentials, credentials, credentials. Really, I am a highly sensitive human who has made some messy mistakes that is just wanting to help other humans do and feel better too.

You probably have read through other therapists’ bios and profiles trying to figure out what is really going to help you, which can be hard to do. There are so many messages and information constantly being thrown at us, that may make it seem like we don’t understand ourselves…right now. Lack of understanding leads to feelings, behaviors, and relationship patterns that cause suffering. Maybe you resonate with the unbearable weight of not feeling good enough, being scared that you are unlovable, or questioning your worthiness to show up as your authentic self. I enjoy supporting clients that are having concerns related to body image, eating disorders/disordered eating, substance use, trauma, depression, ADHD, and anxiety and/or those who are in recovery; more times than not these are all intertwined, connected, and influencing one another. My approach to counseling is an eclectic blend of a variety of treatment modalities that are client-centered and compassion-focused. I come with a non-judgmental view of the whole self, heart-centered, strengths-based, and holistic. I help clients connect with their inner wisdom and feel more comfortable and confident in their bodies and selves. I believe that therapy is about having a strong therapeutic rapport based in authenticity, and safety, with a sprinkle of humor and laughter.

Outside of work, you can find me enjoying moving my body with strength training and weight-lifting, in the kitchen cooking with the occasional baking, and enjoying a good book or puzzle on my introverted nights!
