"I grew up in Sarasota, Florida, and went to undergraduate school at Florida State University (Go Noles!). I went to graduate school at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and have been a physician assistant for the past 10 years. Straight out of school I began working in emergency medicine. The ER has been where I have spent a large portion of my career. I love the ER, I have met a lot of incredible people and learned many valuable lessons. Over the past several years, I have had significant experience with mental illness in that setting, and have become very passionate about the importance of mental health care. Seeing people transition past their struggles into a life that is full is inspiring because it is not an easy path. My goal is to help each patient not just reach this path, but to stay accountable and aware. I am currently board certified and licensed in North Carolina. I have been married for six years to my beautiful wife. We moved to North Carolina last year and have enjoyed everything this state has to offer. When I am not at work, I love spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, cooking, trying new restaurants, watching movies/shows, and sports (especially hockey!)."
